Gilford Study the Gospel of Mark with a group

Pastor Tom Getchell-Lacey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Gilford and Laconia, will be leading a study on the Gospel of Mark. The first four books of the New Testament, collectively called โ€œThe Gospels,โ€ are the primary sources for the Christian faith. Of the four, The Gospel of Mark is the earliest and simplest account of the life and ministry of Jesus. A small group study of Mark is being offered for eight weeks starting Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. in the churchโ€™s Fireside Room. The Bible will be the primary text, but the book Mark For Everyone by Tom Wright will be used as a guide. There will be a $15 donation for each participant to cover the cost of the book. To register, call the church office at 524-3289.

Learn to prevent senior wandering

To help families keep their loved ones safe, the Home Instead Senior Care network has launched a free tool, the Missing Senior Network, in central New Hampshire. Found at missingsenior
network.com, the platform enables family caregivers to alert a network of friends, family and businesses to be on the lookout for a missing senior.

The Missing Senior Network is part of Home Insteadโ€™s new Prevent Wandering program, which includes resources such as insight into what may trigger wandering events, steps families can take to help keep their loved ones safe, and tips on what to do if a wandering event occurs.
