The Penacook Community Center Senior Program is participating in the National Council on Aging’s Falls Free program by offering three fitness programs that assist in preventing falls. Bone Builders is held Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Boscawen Town Hall (open); Foot Step for Fitness, Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m. in the PCC gym (open to members) and Tai Ji Quan, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m. in the PCC gym (currently full). East Congregational Church and the Epilepsy Foundation are working together for a “Not Just Clothing” drive to benefit both groups. The drive will be an ongoing until Dec. 1. McDonald’s Restaurants are holding a statewide fundraiser for the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police. On Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., all locations will be participating in Police Appreciate Night. Visit the restaurant on 111 Fisherville Road and meet local police officers. A portion of all sales will be donated to the association for training and development.
