After an undefeated regular season, the Hopkinton Middle School boys’ soccer team lost to Chester in the semifinals, 3-2. Ian heck and Andrew Zankel handled the scoring for the Hawks with Brendan Elrick adding an assist. Ryan Brown, Steven Newton-Delgado and Hunter Boisey were also credited with strong games.
The Concord Capitals Orthopedics Bantam 2 team defeated Amesbury, Mass., 3-2. Jacbo Mielcarz netted two goals and Donovan Hayes added the third with an assist going to Cam Brown.
Devin Kelly deposited the game-winning goal into the back of the net in the 51st minute as the Colby-Sawyer College men’s soccer team knocked off Plymouth State, 1-0. Despite being outshot, 19-17, the Chargers held PSU off the scoreboard thanks to goalkeeper Jake Towle’s third shutout of the season.
