Gilford teens learned the art of zombie makeup at the public library Wednesday with the help of teen librarians Mark Thomas and Molly Harper. The two have designed afterschool programs to attract teenagers and started this Halloween-inspired program three years ago.
“Kids love to be a bit morbid – especially this time of year and make a mess. It’s fun for them and it might not be something they could do at home or at school,” Harper said after the event.
The afternoon attracted 15 middle schoolers.
