Josh Morency scored off an assist from Son Nguyen for the Saint Paul’s School boys’ soccer team in a 6-1 loss to Saint Mark’s School.
The Saint Paul’s field hockey team defeated Saint Mark’s School, 3-1. Gillis Frechette came through with a two-goal, one-assist performance while the team also received strong play from Brett Stoddard (goal) and Meg Fearey (assist). Peri Donaldson had six saves in goal.
The Saint Paul’s School girls’ cross country team had a pair of runners place in the top 15 in the Independent School League Championships race. Elizabeth Wells claimed seventh place with a time of 20:06 while Lauren Henderson placed 10th. In the JV race, Alexandra Contomicholas finished ninth and Schuyler Joerger finished 14th.
Dante Ramos finished with a game-high 23 points as the NHTI men’s basketball team won its season opener, 89-80, over Northern Essex Community College. Shaq James contributed with 15 points.
The NCAA Division II cross country championships will be held at Hopkinton State Park today. The 10,000-meter men’s race will start at 11 a.m. and the 6,000-meter women’s race will follow at 12:15 p.m.
