The Bow Garden Club would like to thank the residents of Bow who generously donated new pajamas and/or books to their 2016 “Pajama Project.” The items members brought to meetings and those that were deposited in the collection boxes located at the Baker Free Library, the municipal building and the Bow Recreation totaled 75 warm and cozy pairs of pajamas and 63 books to be given to a local charity. This year the garden club chose to donate their collection of pajama and books to Family Promise of Greater Concord.

Family Promise is a non-profit organization with the mission “to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.” Working in concert with community outreach volunteers from the Bow Mills United Methodist Church and 10 other local congregations, Family Promise provides shelter, meals and support services for those in need within our communities.

Thanks to your generosity, 75 children, aged from infant to teens, will be just a little cozier this winter.
