Concord’s annual Ski and Skate sale, a community staple for people looking for new, used or inexpensive winter equipment will be held this Saturday at the Steeplegate Mall.

Anyone looking to sell equipment can drop it off Thursday between 4:30 and 8 p.m., or Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Like, last year, the sale will be held at the old Circuit City building at the south west corner of the mall, near the intersection of D’Amante Drive and Sheep Davis Road.

The sale itself, run mostly by volunteers, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

All private sellers get 80 percent of the sale cost back, while the other 20 percent goes to the Capital Ski and Outing Club, which grooms and maintains miles of cross country ski trails in Concord.

The sale typically offers all types of skis – downhill, back country, cross country, and nordic – and other winter equipment like snowshoes, ski poles, sleds and ice skates, as well as soft goods like gloves, hats, coats and mittens.
