Valerie Acres has joined the New Hampshire Medical Society as its new director of advocacy. She is currently a partner at the Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group with extensive health and long-term care experience in all three branches of state government. Acres previously served as legal counsel to Gov. Judd Gregg.

Carmen Lorentz will be the new executive director of the Laconia Area Community Land Trust starting in January. She will succeed founding executive director Linda Harvey, who will retire in May.

Dr. James Weinstein, CEO and president of Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health system, will retire at the end of his term on June 30.
