A Webster man is scheduled to be sentenced in one of three sexual assault cases against children under 13 dating back to the 1980s.
Kevin Drown, 55, will appear in Grafton County Superior Court on Thursday at 9 a.m. for a sentencing hearing. He was indicted in February on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and one count of felonious sexual assault between Aug. 1, 1988, and Aug. 1, 1990.
Grafton County State’s Attorney Lara Saffo said Wednesday that Drown was convicted on all four counts following a jury trial on Oct. 26.
Court documents show he is required to register as a sex offender in the meantime.
In the Grafton County case, the female victim referred to in the indictments was between 6 and 8 years old at the time. Court documents show that the assaults all took place in Bristol.
Though Drown has been convicted in that case, he is still awaiting the outcome of two other similar cases in Merrimack County Superior Court.
Drown was indicted in June 2015 on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault against two other young girls.
One charge stems from between Oct. 11, 1996, and May 2, 2000, when Drown is accused of repeatedly groping a girl who was between 8 and 11 years old at the time.
Court documents indicate the attacks took place in Warner.
The second indictment says Drown sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl between July 10, 2014, and Aug. 7, 2014, in Webster.
Following his arraignment and pleading “not guilty” to the Merrimack County charges in August 2015, Drown was released on $25,000 surety bail and the conditions of no contact with the victims, no alcohol or drugs, no weapons and no unsupervised contact with children under 16.
The court determined Drown must also maintain contact with pre-trial services and have gainful employment while out on bail.
Both of Drown’s Merrimack County cases are expected to go to trial in March and April. Merrimack County prosecutor Kristin Vartanian said the two cases are being tried separately due to when each incident allegedly took place.
“There were quite a few years between the two,” she said.
