Following the embarrassing debacle that saw UMass-Amherst cancel a press conference full of reporters last week, the athletic department has reportedly reached out to Boston Celtics assistant Micah Shrewsberry for a second interview.

ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported Saturday that the former Butler and Purdue assistant coach was asked to report for a second interview sometime next week.

The Minutemen originally reached an agreement with Winthrop Coach Pat Kelsey last week but minutes before he was set to be introduced at a press conference in Amherst, Mass., he had a change of heart, citing “personal reasons.”
