What was the highlight of your season? The day of the Division II State Meet was certainly the highlight of the ski season for me. I ended up winning all four runs of both the Giant Slalom and Slalom. After crashing in the GS last year at states and finishing off the podium in the slalom it was a great turn around.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? Jason Johannisson, who as my only teammate, helped make the season a good one.

If you could improve high school Alpine skiing in New Hampshire, what would you do? I would say that one way to improve alpine racing in the state is to make it more accessible. In order to do that and grow the number of kids involved, schools should offer opportunities for kids to learn to race, and not just ski at a young age.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? No, I am not a superstitious person in general.

What’s your favorite pre-game meal? Since most of the meets are in the morning, I would have to say a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel is my favorite.

What inspires you? I am driven to improve as a ski racer and have that reflected in my results.
