What was the highlight of your season? The highlight of the season was definitely playing at the SNHU Arena in front of all the fans. Obviously, it did not go as we hoped, but it is still a special feeling to walk out onto that ice at the end of the year. A close second would be getting mullets at Lucky’s Barber Shop with some of the team.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? Andy Cole and Dan Lebell were our unsung heroes this year. They were both tough players who worked hard and did the right thing. They both did a lot of the little things which go under the radar for most people. You need players like them to win games.

What was the biggest surprise of the season? The biggest surprise this season, for me, was the amount of scoring we got out of new players. Usually, the younger players play a small role but this year we had sophomores and freshmen setting each other up for goals in the playoffs. That was a surprise to me and certainly promising for next year.

If you could improve high school hockey in New Hampshire, what would you do? One way to improve high school hockey, although unlikely, would be to eradicate junior hockey. Instead of bringing their talent to high school hockey, the best players often go play for juniors programs. If that were not the case, high school hockey in New Hampshire would be much more competitive and entertaining.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? I always like to tape my stick at my house and not at the rink. On top of that, I never play music through the speakers in the locker room. For some reason, I have never played well when I have played music, so someone else takes over that duty. Finally, I always eat an applesauce and a granola bar before every game.

What’s your favorite pre-game meal? Applesauce.

If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach? Who would play you? Despite the difference in skin tone, Doc Rivers would definitely play my coach. The resemblance is uncanny between them. As for me, I think my cousin would be a good fit. We look alike and he plays hockey so the similarities are there.

What was the last gift you gave someone? The last gift I gave someone was a gift card to Checkmate Pizza.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? I can’t really pick out an exact moment, but I play tennis and practice is always funny. Four of my best friends are on the team, so there is no shortage of jokes or things to laugh at.

Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind. Think of the hottest thing you know or have felt. Now, put some water on it, but not enough to make it cold. I picture yellow as barely warm, but not yet cold as a color. That’s the best I can put it.

A penguin walks into your school wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there? If for some reason there was a penguin in our school it would definitely be a senior prank of some kind. If he were to say something it would be something along the lines of, “Not all senior pranks have to be harmful, let the kids live.”

If you could have dinner with any three people, who would it be? And what would you serve? I would eat at Subway with Donald Trump, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West. The conversation would be entertaining to say the least, but I mostly chose those three because I want to know what is going on inside each of their heads.

If you got a $1 million to start a company, what would you do? My first decision would be to hire my friends Adam and Sebastian, who know much more about business than me. I would let them run the show.

If you had to go on a talent show, what would you do? I have played piano for almost 10 years, so that’s what I would do for a talent show.

What inspires you? There are many things that inspire me. My little brother’s positivity. My dad’s work ethic. Ultimately though, I have always been a perfectionist, and because of that most of my motivation and inspiration comes from not wanting to be mediocre, and instead wanting to be great.
