What was the highlight of your season? The highlight of my season was winning the defensive player of my team for the third year in a row.
Who was the unsung hero of your team? The biggest unsung hero on the team was a freshman named Ari Maxwell. She was able to come in the game when people got in foul trouble or needed a break and did some very good things while she was in there. She got great rebounds when we needed them and could stop girls on other teams that the rest of our team would struggle to stop.
What was the biggest surprise of the season? The biggest surprise of the season was being in close games with good teams that beat us by 20 to 30 points the years before.
If you could improve high school basketball in New Hampshire, what would you do? If I could improve high school basketball in New Hampshire I probably would not do too much. I think that the high school basketball in New Hampshire is pretty good, it’s fun to watch, and fun to play. There is good competition and it’s just a good time.
Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? For basketball, my superstitions are that I always wear white socks. It’s just not the same if I have anything other than white socks on. For sports in general my superstition is with my hair. I only ever wear my hair in a bun. It is kind of my signature.
What’s your favorite pre-game meal? The night before games I always try to get some pasta in, but when it is game day it’s a different story. I don’t really have a meal that I eat before every game but I have snacks that I have before every game. I always have my pre-game applesauce and I always have to eat some kind of candy before games, preferably Starburst.
If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach? Who would play you? If someone were to play my coach in a movie I would say Will Farrell would be the perfect guy because he is funny and can be intense at the same time. If someone were to play me in a movie, it would probably have Melissa McCarthy because she is very funny, does not care at all what other people think, and she is also not afraid to tell people that they are wrong.
What was the last gift you gave someone? The last gift that I gave someone was a poster of our “defensive rules” to my basketball team. The defensive rules was a huge part of out team and a huge part of our team’s success, so me and my other senior on the team decided to make a poster of the rules and give it to them from us so they would not forget them when we are gone.
Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind. Yellow is a very bright and vibrant color that has a lot of different shades of bright and vibrant.
A penguin walks into your school wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there? If a penguin walks into my school with a sombrero he says “where my female penguins at” and he is there for female penguins.
If you could have dinner with any three people, who would it be? And what would you serve? If I could have dinner with three people I would have dinner with Anthony Davis, Ezekiel Elliot, Michael Jordan. we would eat some steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, lobster, and some kind of salad.
If you got a $1 million to start a company, what would you do? If I had 1 million dollars to start a company I would help kids that do not have enough money to play sports and get the equipment they need be able to get the equipment and play the sports that they want to play.
If you had to go on a talent show, what would you do? If I was in a talent show I would probably dance. I’m not a good dancer but when I dance it’s funny so I would at least make people laugh.
What inspires you? My parents inspire me because they are two of the best people that I have ever met and they are the most hardworking people and they make sure that I have everything I want and need at all times no matter what.
