A bobcat that was hit by a vehicle on a New Hampshire roadway is back in the wild after it was nursed to health by a wildlife rehabilitator.
The animal that was hit April 10 on New Hampshire Route 9 in Chesterfield was released into a field by the Gulf Brook on Wednesday in West Chesterfield by Fish and Game biologist Ted Walski and Deb Gode from Winchester Wildlife Rehabilitation.
Gode said the animal would not have survived without being brought to the rehabilitation center. She said that for the first three days it was lying on its side with a head and hip injury. It has since recovered.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports the bobcat disappeared into the forest after running from the crate.
