JV results

A hat trick from sophomore Corey Gott led the Bow boys’ JV lacrosse team to a 5-3 win against Merrimack Valley. Freshman Austin Scarinza scored two for the Falcons (11-1) while John Caprio and Charles Smethurst led the defense.

The Hopkinton JV softball team beat Winnisquam, 14-9. Megan Kimball-Rhines and Jordan Barrett both pitched well for the Hawks. Kimball-Rhines and Maddie McCluskey each had three hits for Hopkinton, Emma Crawford had two hits and Lauren Secore, Maddie Bishop, Shea Lambert, and Barrett each had one hit.

Middle school result

Halle Laramie pitched a complete game with four strikeouts to lead the Franklin Middle School softball team to a 6-3 win against Belmont. Libbey Hicks played great defense at third and had two hits for Franklin, which also got good games from Riley Marsh (two hits), Kathryn Weed (great defense, hit), Destiny Emery (hit) and Ellie Beaudet (great defense behind the plate).

Youth softball results

Sol Beso Day Spa from Hooksett beat Seige Technologies from Suncook. Seige Technologie’s pitcher Lily Kazanowski struck out seven over three innings and Piper Merwin had nice catches at first. Emma Stokes had two hits for Sol Beso Day Spa and Katie Russell played well defensively at first base.

At the U10 level, Suncook’s Hebert Fuel and CNE’s Quality Cash Market played to an exciting 15-15 tie. Alex Hanson (two hits) and Gwen Gioseffe both played great for Hebert Fuel. Elizabeth Thompson had a terrific game for Quality Cash and Julihana Tonge smashed three hits.

The Hopkinton Bears defeated Concord National Cimo’s in Majors play. Hopkinton was led by Kiley Ehrmanntraut with a great defensive play and a good at bat. For Cimo’s, Grace Smith and Elizabeth Mullen had string hits.

In Cap Area BR Softball Senior action, Hopkinton Banks lost to KMS Henniker Vet Hospital, 16-12, in Babe Ruth senior play. Hopkinton was led by hits from Maddy Follansbee, Katelyn Bouchard and Kally Murdough led the Hopkinton offense, while KMS was led by the pitching of Kasey Weston and the hitting of Madeline Aucoin.

Youth baseball result

The Bow Constantly Pizza Timber Rattler’s defeated Brine’s Team Sales, 15-10. For Brine’s, Max Hoover had a hit and scored a run. Bernie Masur had a hit and pitched two innings, recording five strikeouts. Adam Auclair, Evan Baier and Johnny Sisk paced the offense for the Timber Rattlers.

Youth hockey

The EJEPL Peewee Minor All-Star team went 5-0 at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Mass., to claim the championship. Caleb Yeung, Dawson Fancher and Owen Webber represented the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs.

St. Paul’s result

Richard Li won at No. 4 singles, but the St. Paul’s boys’ tennis team lost to St. Mark’s, 12-3.

The St. Paul’s girls’ varsity tennis team beat St. Mark’s, 12-3.

Pembroke tennis lessons

The Pembroke Recreation Department is offering tennis lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays from June 19 to July 19. Juniors grades 3 and under will go from 4-4:45 p.m. and grades 4-8 will run from 5-6 p.m. Adult lessons will run from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The cost for junior is $35 (resident) and $45 (non-resident and for adults it’s $40 (resident) and $50 (non-resident. Junior Doug Avellino has been named an Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III New England All-Star. Earlier this season, Avellino earned his second straight nod to the North Atlantic Conference First Team as the conference’s top second baseman. He led the Chargers in batting average (.365), hits (46), runs (23), RBI (26), triples (two) and stolen bases (18).
