The American Legion Post 21 is having a fundraising benefit June 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Concord Legion Post 21 to honor recently deceased Unit President Jodi Robinson. Jodi died Christmas night after a two-year struggle with kidney cancer. She was a strong supporter of veterans and the aims and purposes of the American Legion. Jodi held several offices in the auxiliary and at the time of her death was president of Unit 21. Two of Jodiโs favorite programs: the Auxiliary Poppy fund and the Friends of Forgotten Children Fund will benefit from this fundraiser. We hope to make this an annual event to continue to support the causes so dear to Jodiโs heart.

Parsonsfield will perform June 22 at 7:30 p.m. American Songwriter magazine Parsonfieldโs album Blooming Through The Black captures both the live energy the band has come to be known for as well as the sonic evolution that occurred after months of feeling stagnant. WNYC Soundcheck had the band in for a session, and said that โthe quintet Parsonsfield is based in western Massachusetts, but their music draws on the string bands of Appalachia. At least in part. They also like to crank up the amps and pin your ears to the wall.โ Parsonsfield is: Chris Freeman (vocals, banjo), Antonio Alcorn (mandolin), Max Shakun (vocals, pump organ, guitar), Harrison Whale Goodale (bass), and Erik Hischmann (drums).
Sign-up for Concord Little League Summer Baseball today! Summer baseball is a fun and relaxing league with the expectations that each player plays when they can for their team. This is a month long season beginning the second week of July and finishing the second week of August and played at Concord fields. Team will be comprised of approximately 15 players per team to cover for players who want to go on vacation, camp, special nights, etc. Summer baseball is open to youth league age 8 through 12 years old from Concord and surrounding communities. The cost is $35 per player and each player receives a MLB replica T-shirt and hat which they can keep.
