What was the highlight of your season? Going 15-0 at the No. 1 singles position for my team. This has been my dream ever since I was a kid and I’m happy I accomplished it.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? The unsung hero of our team was my brother Nathan Sullivan. Last year, he wasn’t even a starter, while this year he played a key role at the No. 4 singles position for our team and went 12-4 at it.

What was the biggest surprise of the season? Honestly, I was surprised my team even made the playoffs. We only had one returning starter from last year’s team and a lot of our players had to step up their game and they did just that.

If you could improve high school tennis in New Hampshire, what would you do? Tennis is not a very popular sport, but it is extremely fun to play. I think if we developed more middle school tennis teams throughout N.H. to promote the sport, we would see tennis grow.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? Before every serve I bounce the ball twice and I have to line my foot up in a specific way relative to the baseline.

What’s your favorite pre-game meal? I always eat an apple and a banana before every match to help boost my blood sugar levels.

If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach? Who would play you? I would definitely be played by Dwayne Johnson because he is the most athletic person in the world and I’m a close second. The only person I can compare my coach to is Yoda. My coach is over 70 years old and is basically the guru of tennis.

What was the last gift you gave someone? I gave my mom a high quality cell phone charger for Mother’s Day.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? The funniest thing by far that has happened to me was when I pranked my AP calc class by putting a whole bottle of habanero hot sauce in the buffalo chicken dip that I brought in for the end-of-year party that we had.

Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind. Not orange. Not blue. Not green. Not Pink. Not purple. Not black. Not grey. Not red. Not indigo. Simply yellow. Looks like the sun… if you could see the sun.

A penguin walks into your school wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there? He is there running away from the penguin police and he says “guys I’m running from the penguin police.”

If you could have dinner with any three people, who would it be? And what would you serve? I would have dinner with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin Del Potro. I just want to figure out how they reached such a high level of tennis! I’d serve them my buffalo chicken dip with a whole bottle of habanero sauce just because it’d be hilarious.

If you got $1 million to start a company, what would you do? I wouldn’t start a company. I’d travel the world and live lavishly for the rest of my life.

If you had to go on a talent show, what would you do? I’d say I’m basically Criss Angel and I’d perform the most impressive magic trick the world has ever seen.

What inspires you? I wanted to follow my dad’s footsteps and go undefeated in my senior year of tennis. Even when things weren’t necessarily going the way I wanted it to, I kept reminding myself of my end goal.
