Farmers are finally able to get out in their fields to make hay for the first time after the rainy spring. Rob Morrill of Morrill Dairy Farm in Penacook uses a tractor and hay attachment to mow and gather hay on a 40-acre parcel of land in Boscawen near the Webster border. Morrill said haying was a month late due to the constant rain in the spring but they were catching up on the first haying of the season. The farm has 900 head of milking cows and Morrill says he tries to get three cuts a year for hay.
