A dazed barn owl was released back into the wild after being taken under the wing of some concerned Bow public safety personnel.
Bow police Master Patrol Officer Matt Pratte and Bow firefighter D.J. Eastman responded to a call for an injured owl on Route 3A near Garvin Falls Road on Monday, according to the Bow Police Department’s Facebook page.
Eastman secured the owl by wrapping it up in a red towel and later transferred the bird to New Hampshire Fish and Game’s Sgt. Adam Cheney, who released it after determining its injuries were minor.
