Those of us in Concord, Hopkinton, Henniker and Warner are so very lucky to be represented in the New Hampshire Senate by Dan Feltes. Last week, I and many others attended a “town meeting” put together by Feltes at NHTI in Concord.
Sen. Feltes made short introductory comments and then went on for the next two hours to answer everyone’s questions about everything and anything. The senator talked about the state budget, lead paint poisoning, state taxes, the opioid crisis, the topical voter registration question – both national and local – and spoke eloquently about the kindergarten funding situation. He spoke without making accusations and laying blame on either party. He laid out facts and presented figures and data, and tried to give everyone a clear picture of where the true situation currently sat.
The audience left amazed at the amount of information they had been given, the good will displayed and the talent we had available in our state senator.
I want to thank Sen. Feltes for making himself available to us as his constituents and encourage everyone to attend when the next “town meeting” happens.
We are fortunate to have a state senator in Dan Feltes who cares enough about his district and the people who live here to come to on a warm summer night and share himself.
Thank you, Sen. Feltes. You are the best.
Rep. KATHERINE ROGERS
