Concord police are warning residents of several smash-and-grabs and other thefts from vehicles in the city and in the nearby town of Boscawen during the past two weeks.
A total of more than a dozen incidents were reported to police in both locations. Concord police Lt. Sean Ford said Friday. Vehicles parked along the Merrimack River, including at boat launches and recreational areas, were targeted, he said.
In one incident, a woman reported that her pocketbook, license and credit cards were stolen.
โWe do have a couple of leads weโre working on,โ Ford said, adding that police believe the crimes are drug-related.
Ford encouraged people to keep valuables at home and any items in vehicles out of view to passersby.ย
