DunbartonOld Home Day festivities return

Dunbarton’s Old Home Day celebration will be Saturday. It will be held on the Dunbarton Town Common at Robert Rogers Road and Stark Highway South. This year’s festival promises to have more for kids and families, hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kick-off the Old Home Day Celebration with the Fire Explorers Breakfast, 8 to 10 a.m., at the fire department’s garage on Robert Rogers Road. The Dunbarton Elementary School will be hosting a car wash behind the police/fire department building noon to 4 p.m. Bring that dirty car or truck in, go home with a clean shiny one, it’s for a good cause! The Old Home Day Parade kicks off at 11:30 a.m. from Barnard Hill Road through the center of town. The Nevers’ Band will be playing at the bandstand on the Common during and after the parade until 1 p.m. The Nevers’ Band has been performing for audiences across N.H. and other New England States for more than a century. Following the Nevers’ Band will be Danny VanKalken with Dominic the Drummer, Sherpa Lizz Expedition and the Goffstown Pickers till 4 p.m.
