ALLENSTOWN Miss Deerfield Fair

Bone Builders will be held on Monday and Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center. This is a great program to help build bone strength.

Miss Deerfield Fair program is a new program (no longer part of Miss N.H.) is a scholarship program for high school girls in their senior and junior year from Deerfield and surrounding towns (including Allenstown). BOSCAWEN Talk about town grants

Itโ€™s back to school for children in Boscawen and the Merrimack Valley school district on Tuesday. Schools will be closed on Friday for teacherโ€™s workshop and on Monday in celebration of Labor Day.

An open house and barbecue will be held on Monday starting at 5 p.m., hosted by the Boscawen Elementary School PTA. Kids and parents can check out their new classrooms from 5 to 6 p.m. An incoming kindergarten orientation will also be held on Monday and will start at 4 p.m. in the cafeteria.

A public hearing to receive town residentโ€™s input on use of Highway Block Grant funds from Senate Bill 38 will be held on Wednesday after 4:30 p.m. The board of selectmen will hold the hearing, which will be held in the fourth floor conference room at the town municipal offices.

Bone Builders is a free senior strength exercise class that meets at the Boscawen Town Hall (basement of Congregational Church at 12 High St.) on Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Participants may join an ongoing class at any time after registering. LACONIA Activities at school

On Monday, fall sports tryouts at Laconia Middle school will start at 3 p.m. for boys and girls soccer, cross country, field hockey and volleyball.

The Pittsfield Players will hold auditions for their fall musical โ€œOnce Upon A Mattressโ€ at the Scenic Theatre, 6 Depot St., on Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. each evening. The Warner-rooted Don Guano & the Lo-Fi Rebellion was formed in the summer of 2014. A blend of original, acoustic-electric songs were what followed for a group named after its mandolin player, Don Allard, otherwise known as Don Guano. The lo-fi aspect of the Rebellionโ€™s sound has been hard to describe since then. They have played a number of venues in central New Hampshire and are a staple here at the MSW Stage.
