The Rundlett Middle School boys’ soccer “A” team advanced to the Tri-County championship game with a 2-1 win over Ross Lurgio Middle School in the semifinals. Garrett Miskoe tied the game on a penalty kick before Sujan Bhujel found the back of the net for the game-winning goal off an assist from Max Grant. Max Lahey picked up the win in goal for Rundlett.
Behind Zacki Anderson’s goal, the Bow Memorial School boys’ soccer team upended Litchfield, 1-0. Kyle Martin came up with nine saves for Bow in the semifinal contest.
The RBC Capitals girls’ team beat the Islanders Minor from Saugus, Mass., 10-0, on Saturday night. Sofia Payne, Sophia Branch and Leah Beauregard were the top goal-scorers in the victory.
The Concord Capitals Brochu Nursery and Landscaping PeeWee 1 team skated to a 1-1 record over the weekend. The Capitals tied the Wakefield Warriors, 4-4, and beat the New Hampshire East Eagles, 3-2. In the win over the East Eagles, Avery Condon, Jordan Dustin and Finn Benoit all scored with assists coming from William Brochu, Evan Crandlemire and Tyler Fennelly.
The Colby-Sawyer College women’s volleyball team rallied back for a 3-2 win over Suffolk on Tuesday. The Chargers won by scores of 25-27, 25-21, 21-15, 25-9 and 16-14.
Thanks to a pair of first-half goals, the New England College men’s soccer team picked up a 3-2 non-conference win over Rivier University on Tuesday. Kyle Clements (Weare) notched the Pilgrims’ third goal of the game at the 83:27 mark.
Kennedi Smith, a sophomore outside hitter for the University of New Hampshire volleyball team, took home America East Player of the Week honors on Tuesday, earning the award for the second time this season. Smith recorded a match-high 12 kills during the Wildcats’ win over UMass-Lowell.

Second grade pre-season basketball league run by Concord High School basketball coaches Dave Chase and Tim LaTorra will lead volunteer coaches through skills and drills. The league will focus on fundamentals of basketball while also introducing team play. The program runs on Saturdays from Nov. 4 through Dec. 16.
FieldHouse Sports Indoor Sports Facility soccer skills and goalkeeping clinics will begin Nov. 6 and run for six weeks. Clinics will be directed by Jorge Pardo, Director of Caramba Soccer Camps. Clinics are for ages 6-60 for all abilities and meet on Monday afternoons. The cost is $55 for ages 6-8 and $65 for ages 9-adult. Bishop Brady and St. John Athletic Hall of Fame induction will be held on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. at Bishop Brady High School. The 2017 inductees include Neil Ackley (class of ’69), Robert Paveglio, (’69), Joe Farrelly (’73), John Hardiman (’67), Chelsea Proulx (’06), Scott Laliberte (’85) and Coach Greg Roberts who will receive the Sixth Man Award. The ceremony will also include a special unveiling honoring current Hall of Famer Tinker Foy (’57). Tickets for the event are $45.
