UNH results

Vermont took a 1-0 lead with 39:22 left in the first half, but University of New Hampshire freshman Conrad Cheng scored just 16 seconds later and the No. 20 UNH men’s soccer team (11-2-4) settled for a 1-1 tie against the Catamounts (10-7-1) in the regular-season finale for the Wildcats. UNH held advantages in shots (11-5), shots on goal (6-2) and corner kicks (10-0).

Tilton School results

Franklin’s Jackie Hill scored the game-winner in overtime and Tilton’s Katie Ruggles also scored as the Tilton School field hockey team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over Brewster.

Holderness results

The Holderness boys’ soccer team downed Brewster, 3-2, and the Holderness field hockey beat Phillips Exeter, 3-2, in overtime.

Seacoast United Cubs Baseball Club will be offering specialized skills classes for players in the Concord area. The 12-week classes will be offered from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesdays. Second grade pre-season basketball league run by Concord High School basketball coaches Dave Chase and Tim LaTorra will lead volunteer coaches through skills and drills. The league will focus on fundamentals of basketball while also introducing team play. The program runs on Saturdays through Dec. 16.

FieldHouse Sports Indoor Sports Facility soccer skills and goalkeeping clinics will begin Monday and run for six weeks. Clinics will be directed by Jorge Pardo, Director of Caramba Soccer Camps. Clinics are for ages 6-60 for all abilities and meet on Monday afternoons. The cost is $55 for ages 6-8 and $65 for ages 9-adult. Cap City Basketball is hosting six clinics in November for players in kindergarten through 10th grade. Five of the clinics (Nov. 5, Nov. 10, Nov. 19, Nov. 24 and Nov. 26) will be held at the Concord Boys & Girls Club with K-5 going from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while grades 6-10 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Nov. 22 clinic will be held at Bishop Brady High School with K-5 going from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and grades 6-10 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Cost is $25 per clinic or $100 for all six, which includes a free Cap City headband. The New England Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined is holding a “Ski Jumping Reunion” at Eastman in Grantham on Nov. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. The reunion is for jumpers, friends and supporters of all ages. Franklin High School Boosters Club Fall Sports Banquet will be held on Tuesday. The banquet will feature a potluck meal beginning at 6 p.m. in the high school’s cafeteria.
