I am a 28-year resident of Hopkinton. I grew up here, graduated from our school system, purchased my first home here, started my family here and hope to live a long, happy life here. Hopkinton is where I belong.
This is why I ran for the select board three years ago and why I am running for re-election today.
I have been dedicated to serving my constituents to the best of my ability. I have spent eight years as a board member for the Contoocook Riverway Association, served on the Sestercentennial Committee, the Hopkinton Budget Committee, the Sewer Committee and the Open Space Committee. I am also a member of the Hopkinton Fire Department.
I enjoy being active in our community and intend to continue making a difference for my family, friends, neighbors and fellow community members for the better.
Our select board focuses on lowering budgets without comprising quality. We worked hard to develop a plan for the road bond for our much-needed road projects, as well as re-invigorate the Economic Development Committee to attract new business.
It was my intent to develop a visitor center for Hopkinton. With a combined effort between the Riverway Association and the Chamber of Commerce, we have done precisely that. Our volunteer-run visitor center was established this fall and continues to grow.
I wish to continue my work on the select board to serve our community and hope to earn your vote on March 13 at Hopkinton High School.
