In order to celebrate National Poetry Month this past April, Hillsboro-Deering Middle School held an annual Poetry Jam and wow was it fun!
Thirty-five students and staff gathered in the Library Media Center and shared their favorite poems or their own original poetry. Four prizes were awarded, one per grade and one overall school winner. The judges had a hard time selecting the winners from all the outstanding contestants.
This annual event is always a favorite at HDMS. Celebrate poetry!
