The Cap Area All Stars had the bases loaded, but they were trailing by three runs and down to their last strike when Brooke Miller came through with a three-run triple to send the final of the NH Babe Ruth Softball 2018 8U State Championship into extra innings.
The team pulled out a 17-16 win in nine innings over Barrington to improve to 16-0-1 and become the first 8U Concord-area team to qualify for the Babe Ruth Softball Regional Tournament. The first game of the double-elimination tournament is on Thursday for Miller and the other All Stars: Farley Amrol, Taylor Arvanitis, Bailey Cassin, Camryn Collins, Emerson Frazier, Lily Gagnon, Mia Marshall, Brooke Nailor, Madison Oppold, Kiley Taylor, Abigail Vlacich, Madelyn Wright and Raegan Wyman and coaches Ryan Taylor, JB Frazier, Brad Collins and Jay Cassin.
