The Craney Hill Fire Tower overlooking Merrimack County in Henniker will be open to the public on Sunday and Monday.
The town and its Craney Hill Fire Tower Association has been working to restore and preserve the tower since 1997 when it was at risk of being torn down for a cell tower. The tower was later registered with the National Historic Lookout Register in 2016.
A volunteer from the association will be on hand to answer questions.
The tower is owned by the town, managed by volunteers and supported by private donors. The tower was given to Henniker in 1980 after it was used for more than 40 years as a state-run forest fire lookout.
