Jan Brett will be returning to Gibson’s Bookstore on Friday at 5 p.m. It has been years since the store has hosted this titan of the children’s book world. Come a bit early to take pictures with her tour bus outside, and then stay for her presentation and signing line as she shares her newest picture book, The Snowy Nap.
In the new book, Hedgie tries to stay awake when winter comes so he doesn’t miss out on all the fun his friends are having.
Brett has published more than 40 works including the popular The Mitten, The Hat and Gingerbread Baby.
Due to her tight travel schedule, Brett will be staying for only two hours (or until the line runs out, whichever comes first), and will do her best to sign as many books as she can during that time. If time does not permit her to sign your books, you will get a pre-signed (but not personalized) book plate for your book. Reserves will also get a pre-signed book plate, if time runs out. Depending on turn out on the day of, Gibson’s may consider limiting books from home to ensure that as many people get to meet Brett as possible.
