Spaulding Youth Center hosted their annual Thanksgiving luncheon on campus for all students, campus staff, supporters, community partners and friends. Starting at 4 a.m., the Spaulding Youth Center Dining Services department prepared a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The festive meal was then proudly served with enthusiasm by Spaulding Youth Center students.
NAMI New Hampshire (National Alliance on Mental Illness) welcomes the thoughtful and well-articulated draft of a 10-Year Mental Health Plan for bringing mental health services in New Hampshire into the 21st century by focusing on developing a continuum of sustainable community-based programs. NAMI New Hampshire is hopeful that fully enacting the 10-Year Mental Health Plan will promote hope, help and recovery, and improve the lives of all people impacted by mental illness in New Hampshire.
More than 1,000 New Hampshire high school seniors from 20 public high schools submitted nearly 2,700 college applications during the first week of the stateโs โI Am College Bound/I Appliedโ initiative. This national program, coordinated by the American Council on Education, is designed to help high school seniors navigate the complex college admissions process and ensure they apply to at least one postsecondary institution during a daytime event at their high school. Save the date for Christmas at the South Danbury Church on Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. Celebrate with Christmas carols and a Nativity tableau, toe-tapping versions of holiday favorites by the Barrett family band โ Keith, Sam, Max, and friends, and traditional British carols performed by Jesse Schust.
