An open letter to Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, and Rep. Annie Kuster: Please support a southern border barrier. Drugs are invading New Hampshire and destroying our state. It is not immoral for a sovereign country to define its own control over what and who is coming across the border.
We do not have the manpower to rely on electronic and surveillance methods alone. Our Border Patrol officers are getting killed. If you are convinced that the drugs are coming in through “legal ports of entry,” then let’s build a barrier so we can re-assign Border Patrol officers.
This is an anti-drug measure, and if you truly want to stem the flow of illegal drugs coming into New Hampshire, it starts with supporting POTUS on this one issue.
I know this means going against your leadership, but for the sake of New Hampshire please take that leap – just this once.
