The city of Concord has called a city-wide parking ban in advance of the snow expected to fall on Tuesday.

The ban means no parking is allowed on any of the city’s streets between midnight and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Parking is available free of charge in the city’s three municipal garages from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. every day in permitted spaces and 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. in metered spaces, regardless of weather.

There’s about a 40 percent chance of snow starting around Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. That figure kicks up to 90 percent this evening, with around 3 to 5 inches of snow possible.

There’s a chance that snow will continue to around 8 a.m. Wednesday, with snow showers expected after 5 p.m.

This is the fourth parking ban Concord has called this January.
