Gregory Michael, 55, was found dead on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, in Concord.

Police have suspended their investigation into the death of a Concord man found unresponsive in the area of Greenwood Avenue in November.

Authorities believe the death of Gregory Michael, 55, on Nov. 16 was likely accidental. But because questions still remain unanswered, they’re looking to the public for help.

“If anyone has any new information, we ask them to come forward,” Concord police Lt. Sean Ford said Thursday.

Michael was seen on the evening of Nov. 15 in the vicinity of Green Street having trouble walking. An unnamed Good Samaritan provided aid, police said.

As part of their investigation, officers reviewed video surveillance footage captured downtown. They believe Michael arrived in Concord on Nov. 16 at about 4:20 p.m. after a bus dropped him off on North Main Street, not far from the State House. What happened after that remains unclear.

Police first sought the public’s help in late November by releasing Michael’s name and photograph. Since then, they’ve received numerous tips but have been unable to close the case.

The public can contact Ford at 225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100.
