Dave Parker is running for the at-large seat on the Concord City Council. He is a Concord native with a long record of community service.
I like Dave. He’s a generous, intelligent, funny, warm guy. That’s all well and good, but why is he the best candidate for the at-large seat on the council? Dave is a thoughtful, out-of-the-box thinker who brings decades of collaborative leadership to bear on complex and difficult issues. Planning for the city of Concord’s present and future is both.
Downtown Concord has different needs from the Heights. Penacook has different needs from either downtown or the Heights. Trying to meet those current needs while planning for the unique futures of each individual area will require unconventional approaches. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s a good way to do it. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad way. It needs intentional scrutiny to determine whether the way we run our city still meets the current and future needs of the entire community.
That’s why Dave Parker is the best candidate for the at-large seat on the Concord City Council – his creativity, along with his passion for this community, will lead all parts of the Concord community into the future.
