I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Byron Champlin’s candidacy for at-large-city councilor in Concord’s March 5 special election.

This office would be a natural extension of the countless hours of volunteer service Byron has invested in Concord organizations and efforts over many decades and his five years as Ward 4 city councilor.

In my role as executive director of the League of N.H. Craftsmen, I am particularly grateful for Byron’s support of the arts. He understands their intrinsic value, the ways they enrich individual lives, and how they contribute to the vibrancy and economic well-being of communities.

He has been a tireless supporter of the League and its sister arts organizations across the capital region. He has particularly been a catalyst and advocate for economic engines such as the League’s recent downtown Capital Arts Fest destination event.

Above all, Byron knows how to bring people together to work in common cause, a skill that would serve us well in this fractious time.
