Budget: The proposed operating budget is $5.6 million, up 3.3 percent or $179,119 from last year. Slight increases in special education department budget make up the crux of the increase. The operating budget is the only main warrant article aside from procedural requirements.
When and where: The annual meeting will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Andover Elementary/ Middle School. Ballot voting will be March 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Andover Elementary/Middle School.
On the ballot: There are no contested races for the school district. Dean Baker and Adam Jones are running for two three-year terms on the school board. Shirley Currier is running for a one-year term as school treasurer and Elizabeth Paine is running for a one-year term as school moderator. No one filed for the one-term as school clerk.
