For years, I reread Jiddu Krishnamurti’s The Awakening of Intelligence as if my life depended on it. I think whoever wrote the March 17 editorial, “Unsolvable problems and unfixable you,” distilled the breadth and clarity of this book into about 700 words, without even meaning to. The piece, beautifully written, shows a deep understanding of humanity’s problems, the conundrum of our human limits and, most important, what’s required of us here and now.

All this revealed through the pure observation of an enlightened journalist and crafted like a fine ale.

I am grateful to have read it.
