■The Chichester Youth Association will have their monthly meeting today (a week early) at 6:30 p.m. at the fire station. Open to all residents; if you have questions about children’s sports, you can email chichesteryouthassociation@gmail.com.

■On Tuesday, the library resumes regular story times. Tuesday is Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday is for preschoolers at 10:45 a.m.

■On Thursday, the Conservation Commission will meet at 7 p.m. at the town offices. Stop by and hear what may happen with the conservation land between Main Street and Marsh Pond. There will be several work days starting in May and through the summer and autumn. ■On Saturday, the Amoskeag Reserve Engine Company’s third annual Walter Sanborn & John Sawyer Memorial Fire Truck Show will be held at Webster Park in Epsom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine! This is a family-friendly event; kids will receive a toy fire helmet! There will be a parade of the fire engines, starting at 9 a.m. at the Epsom Bible Church, 398 Black Hall Road in Epsom to Webster Park. There will be door prizes, raffles, (new this year, a flea market for fire collectibles) and just a great time to see many new and retired fire engines and apparatus.

■Also on Saturday, Pembroke Academy graduates should come to the Bicentennial Celebration at 1 p.m. in the Pembroke Academy Auditorium. Come celebrate with us and take part in the inaugural induction of members into the Athletic Hall of Fame and into the Performing Arts Hall of Fame.

■Elks Lodge 1210 will be in charge of the Flag Day retirement ceremony this year and that has not been scheduled as yet. Post 112 and the Boy Scouts will be participants. The final collection will be June 10.

■Epsom Fire Auxiliary will host a fundraiser for the Epsom Fire Department. at Panera on 75 Fort Eddy Road, Concord, on May 18 between 4 and 8 p.m. A printed flyer or an electronic version of the flyer on a mobile phone or tablet must be presented when ordering. ■Please help PMHS support the Pittsfield Food Pantry at the Empty Bowls Fundraiser on May 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the high school. Pittsfield students and community members have created ceramic bowls and the bowls will be sold on May 16 for $10. The buyers will receive a dinner of soup, bread and dessert – all made the students. Food ingredients are donated by Hannaford of Northwood and Rustic Crust of Pittsfield. There will also be a Community Talent Show from 6 to 9 p.m.

■The historical society thanks David Harper, Ray Webber, Paul Provencal and Larry Berkson for volunteering to help install the drainage, and back-fill the foundation of its new headquarters building Saturday morning. The society also extends a thank you to Jim Parker for his expert work of back-filling and Paul Provencal for the use of his water pump.

■The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce, which includes Barnstead, Chichester, Epsom, Gilmanton, Loudon, Northwood and Pittsfield, is sponsoring our 22nd annual Multi-Town Yard Sale. The advertised times will be from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. May 31, June 1 and 2. Participants choose if they participate one, two or all three days. Those wishing to hold yard sales/barn sales/garage sales at their home or business on this weekend, may register the address of their sale to be included in an online map and printable address list. Individual registration is a modest $7 to help cover advertising costs. Group or multifamily locations pay a $12 registration fee, and have an enhanced listing. As always, the registration fee is waived for nonprofits. Donations to the banner project (in Pittsfield) are always welcome for those wishing to add a few dollars to their registration. Again this year, there is a community yard sale location at Dustin Park on June 1, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. You must register to set up in Dustin Park. The same $7 registration fee applies. Anyone may register for the Dustin Park location regardless of their hometown. Set up will begin at 6:30 a.m., and all items must be cleared from your designated space by 3 p.m. Restrooms will be available for those registered. Any address in the seven member towns listed above may register their yard sale. ■The Pittsfield Historical Society, in conjunction with New Hampshire Humanities, will host the program: “A Walk Back in Time: The Secret of Cellar Holes,” presented by Adair Mulligan. She will explore the origins of cellar holes and what secrets they may hide. See how one town has set out to create an inventory of its cellar holes, piecing together the clues in the landscape. ■Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday. Put your non-perishable food donations in a bag by your mailbox and your mail carrier will pick it up and deliver it to the local food pantry.
