■Wheel of Fortune with Phyllis will be played on Monday at 12:45 p.m. at the Suncook Senior Center. Everyone who signs up will get a turn to play. This is a new game and lots of fun. ■TOPS is held on Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center.

■The Suncook Senior Center is planning to hold a Craft Fair on Oct. 12 and looking for crafters. Tables are $10 and to reserve your spot call Phyllis at 485-4254.

■The Suncook Senior Center is planning a trip to Castle in the Clouds on October 8 and a will visit Moulton Farm and then enjoy lunch at Hart’s Turkey Farm. This all inclusive trip is only $83 per person. Sign up soon. Call Nancy at 485-9181 for more information.

■Chichester Photo Group meeting will be Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Open to local photographers interested in discussing and learning about their craft and planning group events. Facilitated by Gail Laker-Phelps.

■Charrette group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Historical Society. Open to local residents.

■The Memory Cafe with the Chichester and Epsom libraries has been canceled at this time. May reconvene in the future.

■On Tuesday, Chichester Historical Society will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, with the museum being open to the public. Save the date for Sept. 9 for a program at the Historical Society – details next week on What Life Was Like.

■On Wednesday, call or stop by the library to sign up for a basket class to be held at 5:30 p.m. Taught by Diane Perry-Mann and open to all adults in the area.

■If your child will be entering kindergarten, there is a practice bus run Wednesday at the school at 2 p.m.

■Cemetery Committee will meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the town offices-there is an opening on the committee – if you are interested in volunteering, stop by.

■The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for the new museum and headquarters. A commemorative garden on the Museum grounds is being worked on. A “buy-a-brick” project affords an opportunity for people to buy a brick to honor yourself, loved ones past or present or whomever you wish to remember. ■On Sept. 11 at 7 p.m., the Pittsfield Historical Society will be presenting a program by Michael Bruno on New Hampshire’s Roadside Historical Markers. Michael’s program is geared towards the history of the New Hampshire Historical Marker program, how he came about the idea of the book and some local marker information specific to this area. Michael encourages audience participation and questions. He will have books available for sale and will be glad to autograph them as well. The program will be held at the Society Headquarters on Elm Street in Pittsfield.

■The members of The American Legion Peterson-Cram Post 75, Pittsfield, will hold their September meeting on Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Post 42, Barnstead. This meeting will be of great importance as we will decide on what to do with our Post Home, located at 3 Loudon Road in Pittsfield. This building has been our home for over 80 years and now is in disrepair. The roof and ceiling tiles need to be totally replaced, the wiring and plumbing need to be brought up to code.

■The Read, Meet, Talk Book club will meet at the Pittsfield Senior Center on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. to discuss In the Woods by Tana French.

■The PES Open House is Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. A BBQ dinner will be available to all students and families free of charge from 5 to 6 p.m. on the lower field. The Open House hours at the elementary school are 6 to 7 p.m. The goal of our Open House is for students and families to meet their classroom teacher, see the classroom space, and discuss their hopes and dreams for the new school year. Our Health Services office will be open from 6 to 7 p.m. for families to drop off medications to be administered during school hours. Additionally, variety of community organizations will be on hand from 5 to 7 p.m. to share information about youth programs and other opportunities.

■On Monday from 4 to 5 p.m., we will have a PMHS Open House for all students and families in grades 7 to 12. The Open House is an opportunity for students and families to walk through their schedule and meet faculty and staff members. Additionally, our traditional orientation programs for seventh and ninth grade are being incorporated into our Open House. Our Health Services office will also be open from 4 to 5 p.m. for families to drop off medications to be administered during school hours and a variety of other school and community organizations will be on site. The Open House will conclude with a BBQ open to all students and families free of charge from 5 to 6 p.m. on the lower field.

■The first day of school is Wednesday. Be safe and have fun!

■The Community Development Committee will meet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at town hall.
