■Community breakfasts at the Dunbarton Congregational Church Vestry begin Sunday from 8 to 10 a.m. Come enjoy a hardy, home-cooked breakfast of eggs or pancakes, bacon or sausage, home fries, homemade breads, coffee, tea, juice or cocoa every Sunday during January and February. Proceeds go to the vestry restoration payment. Cost for the whole shebang is $10 or $8 includes two eggs or two pancakes, two sausage or two bacon, two slices of toast and a drink. ■Bill Zeller will present his Arctic Canoe Trip at the library on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. He will show a slideshow of his one-month canoe adventure in the Northwest Territories.

■Dunbarton Town Hall Restoration Concert Series has announced Zak Trajano will perform on Saturday at the Dunbarton Town Hall in the Center. Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zak Trojano finds inspiration while patiently waiting for a fish in a stream, resting on an old worn stool at the bar with an ice-cold beer, or taking in the rich narrative of his birthplace in New Hampshire. His complex finger-style technique was born out of the country blues tradition through years of immersion in the work of players such as John Fahey, Chet Atkins and Merle Travis. Donation of $20 or what you can afford.
■The public library reading group is reading 100-Year-Old-Man-Who Climbed Out The Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. The book discussion at the library will be on Jan. 15 at noon.
■This month, the DCC Book Club will read God Believes in Love by Gene Robinson. Discussion will be held in the vestry on Thursday at 7 p.m. Phil Kimball will host.

■A busy week in Weare: On Monday, Board of Selectmen meet at 6:30 p.m., and then Tuesday, the Zoning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, the Trustees of the Trust Funds meet at 4:15 p.m., followed by the Mildred Hall Advisory Committee at 6 p.m., and then the Sawyer Room Conservation Commission at 7 p.m. On Thursday, the Planning Board meeting is at 7 p.m.
■In Henniker on Jan. 13, the Henniker PTA meets at 6:30 p.m. in the school library and on Jan. 14, the Henniker School District Board meeting is at 6:15 p.m. in the school library. ■Six singing actresses who can read music between the ages of six and 16 are needed for the off-broadway run of William Ogmundson and Tom Dunn’s multi-award winning musical, The Lending Doll, which will rehearse for the next six weeks in N.H. and then go to NYC’s The Hudson Guild Theatre during the week of February break.
