The University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team fell to No. 11 Providence College 5-1 on Saturday, one day after beating the Friars 4-3.

On Saturday at the Whittemore Center in Durham, Greg Printz scored two goals for Providence College as the Wildcats fell to 12-9-1. Sophomore Filip Engaras of Stockholm, Sweden, scored the lone UNH goal on an assist from Kohei Sato of Nishitokyo, Japan. Sato extended his points streak to seven games.

UNH fell to 12-9-1, including 6-6-0 in the HEA.Angus Crookshank scored two goals in Friday’s win at Schneider Arena in Providence, including the game-winner with 3:45 left in the third period.

The UNH men’s and women’s hockey teams will be participating in the annual Skate with the ‘Cats event on Monday, Jan. 20, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond at Strawbery Banke. The event gives fans a chance to meet the team and skate with UNH hockey players. Regular admission rates apply.
