Police are searching for three men who broke into a Bow home on Wednesday and fled in a white Chevy sedan after they were confronted by a resident.

Bow police said they got a call at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a home invasion on Woodhill Hooksett Road. A male resident had come home and found some items out of place and it looked like someone had broken in.

He was then assaulted by two armed men he found in his bedroom. Police believe the two men ran to the driveway and got into the getaway car driven by a third man. Police said all three men were black.

Police sent out a reverse 911 call to tell people in the area to stay inside. Police later determined the suspects were out of the area and “no longer a threat.” Woodhill Hooksett Road is in south Bow and near the town line with Hooksett.

Police said they located the vehicle – a white Chevy Malibu or Cobalt, with Massachusetts license plates, black rims and a blue Bernie Sanders sticker on the trunk – Thursday morning with the assistance of Manchester police, but had not made any arrests in connection with the home invasion.

Bow police were assisted on scene by the New Hampshire State Police, Hooksett Police Department, Dunbarton Police Department, Bradford Police Department, and the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department.
