America is at a crossroads. In November, we must choose between the America of Sen. Mitt Romney and Col. Alexander Vindman where “right matters” and must be pursued and protected, and the America of Donald Trump, where might makes right and the end justifies the means.
This is a fundamental issue about the nature and future of our country, and the outcome of this election will – in the immortal words of President Lincoln – test whether this nation can long endure.
The success of the American experiment depends on certain shared values and the character of our leaders to uphold and promote those values. Trump does not have these values and despises them in others.
I am voting for Amy Klobuchar on Tuesday because she has the values and character we need to rescue the American experiment and make sure this country will endure. I hope others will vote for her too.
