No one was injured when a bullet was fired into a home in Bow late Saturday night, police said.

The local and state police investigation remains ongoing, but authorities say there is no evidence to suggest that the homeowner was specifically targeted.

According to Bow police, a homeowner on Golden View Drive was awoken by a โ€œloud bangโ€ on Saturday at about 11 p.m. Soon after, the homeowner noticed a hole in the front door to the home and immediately reported the incident to police.

Bow police officers responded and determined that a bullet had entered the home through the front door before traveling through several walls and becoming lodged in a baseboard heater, where it was eventually recovered.

On Facebook this weekend, a person claiming to live near Woodhill Road claimed to have heard two shots fired at 10:56 p.m., just before a vehicle sped past their residence.

Police are asking anyone in the Woodhill Road and Golden View Drive area who may have heard or saw something Saturday night to report it to law enforcement at 223-3950.
