A Concord couple had the luck of the Irish on their side during Presidential Oaks’ Sweetheart Dinner, winning tickets to see Celtic Woman.

Vince and Jackie Bonjorno of Concord were the winners of the grand prize awarded during the annual Valentine’s Day dinner at Presidential Oaks. The Bonjornos won two tickets to see Celtic Woman’s Celebration tour performance at the Capitol Center for the Arts in March.

The Sweetheart Dinner took place on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, in the Dining Room of Presidential Oaks Retirement Living. The fun began even before the meal during Couples Bingo in the Presidential Oaks’ Auditorium, where players paired up on Bingo cards to win a variety of chocolate prizes.

Guests warmed up on the cold wintry day with a menu featuring chicken cordon bleu with supreme sauce, au gratin potato, asparagus spears and a delectable red velvet Valentine’s Day cupcake for dessert.

The next dinner will be on March 17 for Presidential Oaks’ Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Live music by fiddler Christopher Dudley and David Moore on the accordion will keep the festivities fun and a traditional meal of corned beef and cabbage will be served.

Reservations may be made by calling Krista Marrs, Director of Communications and Marketing, at 724-6111. Tickets are $12 each or $20 per couple. Full menu and details for the event are available at presidentialoaks.org.
