Two people are facing felony charges after police say shots were fired during a road rage incident early Friday on Interstate 89 in Warner.

Daniel Bernard, 35, of Wilmot is charged with reckless conduct and John Miller 37, whose address is listed as homeless, is charged with criminal threatening. Bernard was held over the weekend at the Merrimack County jail, pending his arraignment. Miller was released on bail conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.

New Hampshire State Police said no one was injured Friday morning, but that many innocent people, including motorists on I-89, were placed in harmโ€™s way.

Police first received a report of gunfire at about 7:20 a.m. Callers reported that two suspect vehicles were traveling on I-89 in a โ€œreckless and aggressive mannerโ€ as they continued toward Concord.

Troopers subsequently located and stopped both vehicles at safe locations off the interstate: one at the Park and Ride off exit 2 of I-89 in Concord and the other off Route 3A in Bow.

Police said theyโ€™re continuing to interview witnesses, including in a Warner neighborhood where it is believed the incident began.
