Hot topic: The town’s sole zoning amendment will bring the town in line with state law to move flood plain development regulations from building codes to the town’s zoning ordinances.

Budget: The proposed operating budget for the town is $1,228,867, a decrease of $49,627 or about 3.9%.

With capital reserve expenditures, this year’s budget is nearly flat from last year’s and Town Administrator April Rollins is not expecting much change to the town’s portion of the tax rate, which was $4.94 per $1,000 assessed property value in 2019.

Noteworthy article: The town is looking to combine two capital reserve funds for fire equipment and rescue equipment into one capital reserve fund for the same, but combined, purpose.

Contested races: For two three-year positions on the planning board, Joseph Schmidl, Anne Ross-Raymond and Stacia Eastman.

When and where: Town meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Salisbury Town Hall, 645 Old Turnpike Road. Ballot voting on town matters will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Salisbury Town Hall.
