My letter to the editor on March 5 (“Don’t be an uninformed voter in Weare”) referred to the purchase of a $26,000 piece of highway equipment. While the $13,000 budget line was accurate, the found offset balance was actually $7,000, the result being a $20,000 purchase. My point was not the purchase but rather the choice by the select board not to reduce the 2020 default line to $2,000 as they did in the proposed budget. I regret my error.
