■The Boscawen Public Library is back with curbside pickup available under the following guidelines. Please note that inside of the library remains closed to the public until further notice. Patrons can access the library’s online catalog to view all available items by going to boscawenpubliclibrary.org. Patrons can also email boscawenpl@gmail.com or call 753-8576 to request items. Please make your request 24 hours in advance. A library staff member will contact you with a pickup date. Patrons should call the library once they are in the parking lot and a staff member (wearing a mask and gloves) will deliver bagged items to you in your vehicle. When returning your items, please put them in the library drop box outside of the building. The box will be emptied by a staff member on the days that the library is open. Curbside pickup hours are Monday and Wednesday from 2-5 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m. Any updates can be found on the library Facebook page or website. Boscawen Public Library is happy to be back assisting patrons albeit, on reduced hours. Thank you for your patience.

■Pastor Sara Rossig of the Canterbury United Community Church has been ringing the church bells every evening at 7 p.m. in recognition of essential workers, health care workers and those dealing with pain due to COVID-19. Noise made by instruments or kitchen items were invited for the duration of the bell ringing. Now there will be a 2-minute silence following the first bell chimes, for reflection upon the challenges facing the country at this time. It will conclude with a last minute of the bells. All are welcome either in cars or socially distanced on the green by the church.
■The Canterbury Farmers’ Market will be open Wednesday from 4-6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Elkins Public Library. The market will be held every Wednesday (unless there are thunderstorms) until Sept. 30. There will be the usual lineup of local produce, farm-to-fork produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs, dairy, maple products, baked goods, artisan breads and local crafts. There will not be theme activities this year, but there will be live music from local musicians, this week performed by Jordan Tyrrell-Wysocki and Matt Jenson. To address COVID-19 safety issues, the market will have a curbside pickup. Customers will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer before entering the market, numbers of customers coming in at any one time will be monitored to avoid crowding, prepared food must be taken off site to eat, customers are asked to send minimal family members and children must be kept with parents/guardians at all times. No pets are allowed this year and all volunteers will wear masks. Market tokens will still be sold and sanitized beforehand. See canterburyfarmersmarket.com for more details.
■The Canterbury Country Store can pre-bag and deliver orders of groceries thanks to local volunteers. There is a minimum order of $20. Call 783-9933 or visit canterburycountrystore.com.
